Calling to Ministry: In 2021 I was nearing the end of high school with no real plan for afterward. I was going to spend 2 years at community college while working as a job coach for adults with special needs. I knew that eventually, I wanted to teach outside the country. As the end of the school year approached, two people contacted me about Agape Year (a missional gap year that works in Pittsburgh and overseas.) As I look back on this, I can see that it was God's divine intervention, and had I gone to school I would not be happy. Through this past year, I got to see Him work in my life and the lives of those close to me. In the spring, we spent 6 weeks working in Israel which was amazing and I knew that this is where God is calling me. Not necessarily to Israel but to communities different from my own. I want to show His love to those that have never felt it. I always felt called to teach and now I know that He will open the door for me to do just that.

Mission and/or Vision for Ministry: I want people to see God in me and to show His love. I want to be always learning about those around me and how to best serve them. I know the importance of community so I would like to create a Christ-centered community that builds each other up and points one another to God.

Personal Points of Interest: I am definitely on the artistic side. I was in the theatre program in high school as well as marching band and competed in both. My brother has a developmental disability which makes me a very good advocate as well as having a heart for those who are typically overlooked. I’ve always loved to host and my house always had people in it growing up. I’ve moved around quite a bit, I spent the first 10 years of my life in San Antonio, TX, then 5 years in west Texas, and now 4 years in Pittsburgh, where my church home is.

Favorite Bible Verse:
It changes but right now it’s Jeremiah 1:5. God calling Jeremiah and Jeremiah continuing to doubt Him and God responds. “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
