Calling to Ministry:  When Cate went on the LAMB’s Mission Trip in July to Honduras, she felt that God was calling her there. She heard someone ask another person on the trip if they could see themselves coming and living there, and she was thinking to herself that she definitely could. She has been in Arequipa, Peru for the past three months which has been an amazing experience; however, she has been praying about Honduras and is still being drawn to teaching at JOY Academy. Cate’s time in Peru taught her that she does feel comfortable living in another country, and it does become another home for her. She felt that when she was in Honduras for the Mission’s Trip. She felt the love and support from the other teachers, from the caregivers, and from the children. She really feels as though she can use her degrees in education and Spanish to do something incredible and to her that incredible thing is helping the children in Honduras.

Mission and/or Vision for Ministry:  Her mission is to help others and share the love of God.

Personal Points of Interest: Cate likes to play soccer and sports in general. She also enjoys playing board games and card games. She likes to listen to music, journal, and read. She also likes to spend time with family and friends. Cate loves to travel! She was fortunate this year to be able to travel to Honduras in July for the Mission's Trip and also Peru and Chile in the fall. She is passionate about Spanish. She went to NC State University and studied Spanish and Education.

This is Cate’s favorite verse because the children in Honduras shared it with the group after their week there with them.
