Daniel and Rebekah Behrens

Serving In: USA
Ministry: Missionary, Social Outreach
Daniel and Rebekah are partnering with the local church in Pittsburgh, PA to extend Christ’s love and truth to recent immigrants.

Serving In: Pittsburgh, PA

SAMS Role: Missionary

Home Church: St. Peter’s Anglican Cathedral, Tallahassee, FL

Starting Year with SAMS: 2022

Calling to Ministry: Daniel and Rebekah share a passion for building relationships with people from other cultures, and for being a tangible sign of God’s personal care to those who are far from home. Their twin callings to cross-cultural and pastoral ministry led them to seminary at Trinity School for Ministry, to Tallahassee, FL, and then to the US/Mexico border where they served as missionaries with Trinity on the Border and spent a year studying Spanish. In this life-changing season of ministry of getting to know people from all around the world, God confirmed their calling to long-term, cross-cultural ministry in the United States and opened a door for them to join SAMS.

Mission and/or Vision for Ministry: Daniel and Rebekah’s mission is to partner with the local church in Pittsburgh, PA to share Christ’s love and truth with recent immigrants.

Personal Points of Interest: Rebekah and Daniel enjoy spending time with their daughters, getting to know their neighbors, practicing their Spanish, following the Pirates and Cubs, and trying their hand at cooking new international delights. They grew up in Pittsburgh and are grateful (and surprised) to be working as cross-cultural missionaries in an area with family and old friends.
