Calling to ministry: In high school, she met weekly with a mentor who showed her the love of Christ simply by listening. Through their time together and reading the Bible, she came to understand that this love stemmed from Christ’s love for both of them. From then on, she felt called to share that same love with others. Mission trips to rural Pennsylvania opened her eyes to the diversity within the body of Christ. The contrast between rural churches and the larger ones she was used to both challenged and inspired her. She began to long for a fuller picture of how the Spirit moves across different cultures and communities. She learned about Role Call through connections at Redeemer Church in Greensboro. After talking with other sending organizations, a conversation with the director of Role Call confirmed her direction. The director’s deep passion for missions and honoring different cultures made it clear that this is where she wanted to grow and learn next.
Mission and or Vision of Ministry: Madi seeks to love people simply and intentionally—whether through a shared cup of coffee or a listening ear—meeting them where they are without viewing them as projects. Her desire is to serve and be stretched, learning from those she walks alongside. At the heart of it all, she hopes her life and actions continually point to the truth that every person is made in God's image, created to worship Him and dwell in His presence.
Personal points of interest: Madi is based out of Minnesota, where she grew up as one of six siblings. She graduated from Grove City College with a degree in Human Resources and later spent nine months in Greensboro, North Carolina, participating in a fellowship focused on faith after college. In her free time, she enjoys exploring local walking trails and reading everything from Stephen King to Emily Brontë.
Favorite Bible Verse: Ephesians 1:4 “For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.”
